24/7 dispatch

Long-Haul Trucking from Ontario to BC, Alberta, Quebec and Nova Scotia

Coast-to-coast truckload freight with experienced drivers, well-maintained equipment and dispatch that tracks every kilometre.

KAV runs long-haul trucking from Brampton, Ontario to every region of Canada. Our trucks travel the Trans-Canada every week to Winnipeg, Regina, Saskatoon, Calgary, Edmonton and the Lower Mainland of British Columbia, and east to Montreal, Quebec City, Moncton and Halifax. We haul refrigerated and dry freight, full truckload, with our own trucks and our own drivers from pickup to delivery.

Long distances bring long-distance challenges: mountain passes, prairie winters, weigh scales in several provinces and receivers in different time zones. Our drivers have the experience to handle them, and our dispatchers plan each trip around weather, hours of service and delivery appointments.

Built for long distances

Our tractors are late-model sleepers maintained on a strict preventive schedule, and our reefer units are serviced before the peak summer and winter seasons. Every truck uses an electronic logging device, so hours of service are tracked accurately and trips are planned legally. When winter weather closes a highway in northern Ontario or the Rockies, dispatch reroutes or reschedules and tells you immediately, rather than leaving you to find out at the delivery deadline.

Typical transit times from the GTA

With a single driver, typical transit is about one day to Montreal, two days to Halifax, two to three days to Winnipeg, four days to Calgary or Edmonton and five days to Vancouver. Team drivers can cut those times significantly when your freight is urgent; see our expedited freight service. Times vary with weather, season and appointment availability, and we will always confirm an estimate for your exact load.

Most long-haul loads move as standard full truckload. Temperature-sensitive products ride in our refrigerated trailers, which also protect freight from freezing in prairie winters.
