Dedicated Lane Trucking Services from Ontario

Guaranteed capacity on your recurring lanes, with the same drivers, the same schedule and rates you can budget around.

Dedicated lane trucking from KAV gives shippers reserved capacity on the routes they run every week. Instead of booking each load on the spot market and hoping a truck is available, you agree a schedule with us and we commit trucks, trailers and drivers to it. Our dedicated customers ship from Brampton, the GTA and the rest of Ontario to distribution centres, plants and retailers across Canada and the northern United States.

A dedicated lane works best when freight is predictable: the same origin and destination, a regular number of loads per week, and appointment times that rarely change. Food processors, grocery suppliers and manufacturers supplying a few key customers are typical examples.

Why shippers choose dedicated capacity

  • Capacity when the market is tight. Your trucks are planned in advance, including during produce season and the run-up to the holidays.
  • Familiar drivers. The same drivers learn your docks, your receivers' rules and your paperwork, so fewer things go wrong.
  • Stable, budgetable rates. Agreed lane pricing protects you from spot-market swings.
  • On-time performance you can measure. We track pickups and deliveries on your lane and review them with you regularly.
  • Flexible equipment. Reefers, dry vans or a mix, matched to what you ship.

How we set up a dedicated lane

We start with your data: how many loads you ship, where, on which days and with what appointment windows. From there we propose a schedule, the equipment needed and a lane rate. Once you approve it, we assign drivers and trucks, run a few loads to confirm timing at both ends, and adjust if anything needs fine-tuning. You get a single dispatch contact who knows your account and your freight.

Volume can change with the seasons. We build in room to add trucks during peak weeks and scale back when things slow down, so you are not paying for capacity you do not need.

Lanes we commonly run on a dedicated basis

Popular dedicated runs include GTA to Montreal and Quebec City, Ontario to the Maritimes, Ontario to Winnipeg, Calgary and Edmonton, and cross-border lanes into Michigan, Ohio, New York and Illinois. If your lane is not on that list, ask; we will tell you honestly whether it fits our network. Browse our freight lanes and service area, or read about local GTA trucking for regular short-haul shuttles.

Frequently asked questions

How many loads per week do I need for a dedicated lane?

There is no fixed minimum. Lanes with at least two or three loads per week on a consistent schedule are usually a good fit; tell us your volumes and we will recommend the right setup.

Can a dedicated lane include both reefer and dry freight?

Yes. We can assign a mix of refrigerated and dry van equipment to match the freight on your lane.
