Full Truckload (FTL) Shipping Across Canada and the US
Your freight, one trailer, door to door. No terminal transfers, no other shippers' pallets, no surprises.
Full truckload shipping with KAV means a 53-foot trailer is assigned to your freight alone. We pick up at your dock in Brampton, the GTA or anywhere in Ontario, and the same truck delivers it to your receiver in Canada or the United States. Because nothing is cross-docked or transferred, your pallets are handled fewer times, transit is faster and the risk of damage or loss drops sharply compared with less-than-truckload service.
We are an asset-based carrier, so the truck that shows up is ours, driven by our own drivers and dispatched by our own team. That matters when plans change: we can adjust pickup times, reroute a load or answer a question at 2 a.m. without waiting on a third party.

When full truckload makes sense
FTL is usually the right choice when your shipment fills most of a trailer, roughly 18 or more standard pallets or more than about 20,000 lb. It is also worth considering for smaller loads when the freight is high-value, fragile, temperature-sensitive or simply cannot afford the extra handling of a terminal network. Many of our customers also book FTL for time-sensitive launches and promotions, where a predictable delivery appointment is worth more than the savings of a shared trailer.

How we handle your truckload
Once you book, dispatch confirms the pickup appointment, equipment type and any special instructions. The driver checks in with the shipper on arrival, inspects the load and records seal numbers on the bill of lading. While the load is on the road you can reach dispatch day or night for an update, and we will call you if anything affects the delivery time. After delivery, signed proof of delivery is sent with the invoice so your accounting team can close the file quickly.
Where we run full truckloads
Our FTL network covers Ontario and Quebec, the Prairies, British Columbia, the Maritimes and the continental United States. For freight leaving the country, pair this service with cross-border trucking; for coast-to-coast moves, see long-haul trucking. A full list of lanes is on our service area page.
